System: Ancaza

Name: Ancaza [ahn-SAH-zah]
Galactic Location: Along the bottom curve of the second half of the universe.
Neighboring Systems: 2.25 months away from Sirfsa to the west; 1.5 months away from Drosz to the north-west; 1.25 months away from Utenis to the east.
Worlds In System: Antra, Racamarai, Vyza
Natives: qyne, nya, tuah, aduin
Colonists: none

System Formation: Second Category. The three worlds face away from each other so that the non-polar sides of their gravitic ore point inwards, and the sun swings an ellipse around them. The worlds spin like frisbees, creating seasonal change, and the sun's orbit creates a day-night cycle; the night is roughly twice as long as the day and can get considerably colder. With these types of sun systems, the seasons are most extreme near the edges of the worlds, becoming more uniform and changeless towards the center of the planet. All second-category systems are horizontally aligned, so that the planets face outwards towards other systems and the sun's ellipse is horizontal.
About the System: Ancaza is a well-known system for two of its worlds, which draw visitors and researchers from the universe over, though little trade and industry reach out to this system. Vyza is the first attraction, a magic-dense world whose magical affinity is, strangely, bardic; Antra is the other, where some qynes psychically bond to young nyai to become symbiotic pairs. The third world, Racamarai, is considered too primitive and impressionable for any civilized travelers to visit, so it is left in peace while the other two worlds experience a steady flow of curious onlookers. Ancaza as a system is protected by the Light, mostly to ensure that no cults establish bases on Racamarai, but none of the planets are Light-policed.
