Name: Ka Su Len [kah soo lehn]
Galactic Location: Along the upper curve in the middle of the second half of the galaxy.
Neighboring Systems: 1.5 months away from Mazayan to the south-east; 1.75 months away from Os to the south; 2 months away from Carennh to the south-west; 1.5 months away from Ckanzis to the west.
Worlds In System: Kawcakis, Gisufa, Pasnalen
Natives: barzen, f'saik'n
Colonists: cultists
System Formation: Second Category. The three worlds face away from each other so that the non-polar sides of their gravitic ore point inwards, and the sun swings an ellipse around them. The worlds spin like frisbees, creating seasonal change, and the sun's orbit creates a day-night cycle; the night is roughly twice as long as the day and can get considerably colder. With these types of sun systems, the seasons are most extreme near the edges of the worlds, becoming more uniform and changeless towards the center of the planet. All second-category systems are horizontally aligned, so that the planets face outwards towards other systems and the sun's ellipse is horizontal.
About the System: Ka Su Len is the only sun system wholly controlled by cultists. Lightworkers have given up trying to force various cults out of the system, even though such surrender leaves the natives of Gisufa at the questionable mercy of the cultists. (Barzen, however, tend to take care of themselves, as well as their fellow Gisufans.) Gisufa has an elemental-magic affinity, though its magic density is no higher than average; only cultists who are familiar with elemental magic are able to do much there. Pasnalen is one of the most magic-rich worlds in the universe, and Kawcakis is also fairly high in magic, making them both valuable assets to and strongholds for cultists. Ka Su Len is the center of the black market and home to various non-magic-using pirates, as well.
